Family and Society Studies Worldwide currently comprises three databases which cover journal and other literature in the area of family studies and related topics.

  1. Family and Society Studies, 1970 to present, is a very comprehensive and systematic index to research, policy, and practice literature in the fields of Family Science, Human Ecology, Human Development, and Social Welfare. It currently offers over 600,000 abstracts and bibliographic records from over two thousand professional journals, books, popular literature, conference papers, government reports, and other sources.
  2. National Clearinghouse on Family Violence, Health Canada / Centre national d'information sur la violence familiale, Santé Canada (NCFV) provides a reference collection of over 36,000 books, reports, videos, periodicals, and pamphlets on issues related to family violence.
  3. The U. S. Military Family Resource Center Documents Database covers a wide range of document types (articles, reports, chapter, dissertations, etc.) dealing with a variety of policy and research issues faced by military families and family programs. (source: vendor's Website)
